 Meet JadaCodes

My name is Jada Alexander. I am from California, but I have lived in Arizona for over 16 years now. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am currently working in the insurance industry as a Retention Specialist. Still, I also consider myself a self-taught front-end developer who is continuously learning to break into Tech. I have built a couple of websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as practice and for clients. I am currently working on a career pathway on Codecademy called "Full Stack Engineer" to get a certificate. I want to know how to build websites focusing on the front-end and back-end of an application. Before I break into Tech, I am currently focusing on three challenges that I want to overcome. One challenge is overcoming imposter syndrome to have the confidence in my new role as a Software Engineer and remove any self-doubt. Another challenge I am focusing on is to become a better effective communicator, and the last challenge I plan to overcome is procrastination. I will utilize Toastmasters to help me better communicate and a project management app called Trello to help me focus and stay productive. I hope to gain from my college course, INT100: INT100: Fundamentals of Information Technology & Literacy, is to be prepared for the CompTIA IT Fundamentals exam. I reviewed the supplemental materials provided in this week's resources, and they have been beneficial so far.
